These spark plugs are direct replacements for all BMW N20 engines, found in the 228i, 320i, 328i, 428i, 528i, and BMW X 28i models. OEM NGK spark plugs are highly recommended for all modified N20 BMW engines, as they are a slightly higher performance spark plug. The Bosch spark plugs are a great choice to save a little money for stock engines, however, we still recommend the OEM NGK plugs. It is recommended to change the spark plugs every 40,000 – 50,000 miles on stock engines, while modified versions should see replacement every ~20,000 miles. Engine misfires, cold start issues, rough idling, sluggish acceleration, or poor fuel economy may be potential indications the spark plugs need replacement.
