Refresh your BMW M62 or S62 engine with a set of new OEM ignition coils. Ignition coils on the M62/S62 engines should be changed every 70,000-100,000 miles. Coils wear down naturally over time and eventually become less effective or “fail”. Symptoms of old, faulty M62 ignition coils include:

• Rough idle
• Misfires
• Sluggish acceleration/power loss

The above symptoms do not mean your M62/S62 ignition coils are definitely the issue. However, if you are having these symptoms and have not changed the ignition coils in the last 70,000 then you may consider replacing the coils. Old ignition coils may also cause minor power loss on the M62 without any other symptoms.
